Can Hub-Face Be Longer for Replacement Axle

does axle hub to hub face dimensions matter or can that be changed?

The hub-face distance can be longer than your current axle, but you don't want it to be shorter otherwise you run the risk of the tire sidewalls making contact with your trailer frame.
So if the 95" long hub-face for the Dexter Trailer Axle Beam with E-Z Lube Spindles # 8327834 you're looking at is a little wider than what you currently have but the spring-centers are the same then you'll be good to go to use this as a replacement.
