It means that the Thule Sidekick Roof Mounted Cargo Carrier Box # TH78GC won't mount to your roof because the crossbars will be too wide.
Instead, if you're looking for a cargo box similar to the Thule SideKick that'll work with your bars, I'd recommend checking out the Inno Ridge Rooftop Cargo Box # INBRA220R-BK.
This cargo box has a the same 8 cubic feet capacity as the Thule SideKick you were looking at, and will fit onto crossbars that have a minimum spread of 20" and a maximum of 30", and has a beefed up capacity at 110 lbs.
