Motor runs steps donr move. Can open an close by hand

It could be an issue with the motor. If you can hear it running but nothing is moving, the best thing to do is to start by bench testing the motor. You can hook up to 12v and ground and the motor should run and turn. If you can hear it run but nothing is moving you have a bad motor. Since you are able to move it by hand it sounds like mechanically everything is fine. You should be able to tell by looking at the gears if they are in need of replacement. If the motor works normally and the gears look fine, we would likely need to look at replacing the controller.
