Question:

Ive replaced the transmission on my Lippert step, but now I want to test it before I put it on the RV. I can find no wiring diagram or testing method for these steps. there are two wires that go to the motor and two that go to the clutch on the back of the motor. How do I test the steps?

To bench test the Motor # LC183058 on your Lippert Electric Tread Lite Step # LC353620 you can simply connect the motor wires a 12 volt battery source to operate the motor. The motor is reverse polarity so you can run it in and out by alternating the 12 volt wiring on the motor.

I have included an image of the wiring diagram for these steps if you wish to further test the different switches through the step controller.
