How wide a frame do the curt clamps fit need 3 inch

The Curt Lift Brackets # C17008 will fit frames up to 2-3/4" wide so these would be a hair too small for your 3" wide frame. We do not offer any chain lift brackets that will be 3" wide.

We do offer a set of bolt on chain hangers from Curt part # C17005. These will fit regardless of frame thickness, but you will have to do some drilling. I have linked the instructions below if you want to take a closer look.

If you don't want to drill into the frame, you would need to change over to a new weight distribution system that uses and L-style bracket like Curt TruTrack # C17499. The frame brackets will fit frames up to 4" wide and 6' tall.
