I have a 2005 Western RV Alpine Coach 36mdds. Air conditioners have given up. Im looking to replace but see that possibly I dont have to replace the whole thing? Im not opposed but maybe there is an option that allows me to keep my t Stat? Og equipment is Duo Therm. Thanks

Yes, you can replace just the rooftop unit in order to minimize costs and retain use of your current thermostat. You'll first want to remove the air distribution box cover and look for the controller. There will be a wire harness that hangs down and plugs into the controller and will have either a 6-pin or 9-pin connector. If you have a 9-pin connector then you'll need an adapter to plug into the controller. You'll also want to check the old rooftop unit to see what the BTU rating is and match it or go higher. We have the following replacement options:
6-pin Connection Point:
13,500 BTU
White # FR26PR
Black # FR76PR
15,000 BTU
White # FR58PR
Black # FR86PR
9-pin Connection Point:
13,500 BTU
White # FR82PV
Black # FR62PV
15,000 BTU
White # FR42PV
Black # FR32PV
