Do All MaxxAir Deluxe Roof Vents Have A Surge In Power When Starting Up

Question:

The MaxxFan 6200 shows that the amp draw is 5 and at start up is 9 The MaxxFan 5100 appears to be the same fan except it doesnt have the smoke lid, its white. So why is the amp listed at just 5... no difference at start up? Does the 6200 have a problem with the surge of 9 amps with start up?

The MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan and Thermostat # MA00-05100K, as well as all of their other models does have a start up surge when first activated. The product page for the # MA00-05100K just didn't have it listed like the # MA00-06200K model does. In this case there was an update to that specific page because someone requested the start up amperage in a Q&A page and another Expert, Conner, found the info and had it added.
