Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this Maxx Air replacement keypad. This is going to replace the keypad for your Maxxfan Deluxe Roof Vent. This is going to be a direct replacement from Maxx Air so you can trust it is going to fit right in place of that original. You're not gonna have to worry about compatibility issues.
You can see we've got the 3M tape on the backside here. So it is gonna be very easy to get put in place of that original so that your roof vent is operational again. That's gonna complete our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching..
Part was the exact OEM replacement and worked as expected. Fairly easy to replace and a lot easier and cheaper then a whole new fan.
eTrailer got the item to me is just a few days. It was easy to figure out what part I needed and the description of the item on the website matched it exactly when it arrived. The video on the etrailer website showing the item is practically useless, there's a much better one on Youtube that shows installation.
As far as product quality, we'll see. The OEM part from Maxxfan failed at 3 years and 8 months, in what I would consider light use. It seems to me that less than 4 years is too short a lifespan for a controller with no moving parts and which is sealed to prevent atmospheric corrosion. I'll watch this one carefully, but from the product reviews posted earlier, this seems to be a piece that is prone to failure.

Still working as new.
Terrible product . Three failed circuit boards. And a touch pad. I finally just bought a variable potentiometer and installed it.
Hopefully they have improved this product.
Well, I ordered the circuit board first when it would not start. Then tech said it was likely the keypad.. Right.. It was. First things first.
I would give a 5 star but I felt shipping waa a little high for taking 4 days to arrive. Although I could have paid for faster shipping. The part installed well and was actually the problem with the fan.

New touch pad has been working as expected. I did spray a sealant on it so the water does not short the thing out. That sealant was another $30 but better then switching it out all the time.
