Yes, the Curt Trailer Hitch item # 13591 will fit your 2017 GMC Terrain. However, I have a better option for you. I recommend the etrailer Hitch item # e98865. This hitch is identical to the Curt hitch with the exception of the superior matte coating that not only helps to prevent rust but will also blend in nicely beneath your Terrain's trim.

This etrailer Hitch item # e98865 custom fit for your Terrain and bolts to it with included hardware. It is a class III hitch with a 2" receiver. It has a 3,500 lbs towing capacity and a 350 lbs maximum tongue weight. This hitch fits the Terrains with or without the towing package.

I have linked an installation video below along with a couple of pictures so you can see what this hitch looks like once installed.

If you are planning on towing you will also need a wiring harness item # 56094 for a 4-Way and a ball mount kit item # C45534. This wiring harness is only for the Terrain's without the towing package.

I also recommend using the No-Drill Mount Bracket item # 18136 and the item # C42CR to secure the 4-way connector to your hitch. This will put it in an easy to reach spot and prevent the risk of it falling onto the road.
