What Rough Hanger Spacing Should Tandem Axle Trailer with 25-1/4" Springs Have?

Question:
I have some trailer hangers that Im going to replace, there 25 1/4 springs on a tandem trailer. the axles are 3 and Im mounting the the axles on the bottom of the spings. I know there is a a lot of differant combinations, but can you give me a ball park distances between the hangers Thanks Andy

Assuming you're using a 7-3/4" equalizer like what's included in the Hanger Kit # APT5, your hangers should be roughly 29-1/2" between the front and center hangers, and also 29-1/2" between the center and rear hangers.
With a 7-3/4" equalizer and 25-1/4" spring this would give you 33" axle spacing which is pretty standard.
Keep in mind this is not an exact thing, you really want the shackles on the equalizer to be shaped like a W shown in the picture below, and you may need to move the hangers closer together or further apart to get this. Failure to do this will limit either the upward or downward travel of your suspension.
