Replacement Adhesive Tape For Curt Spectrum Trailer Brake Controller Control Knob
Updated 06/09/2023 | Published 06/08/2023 >
Question:
I received a Curt Spectrum Brake Controller. I bought this particular brake controller because I didn't want to drill holes in my dashboard. This controller had a no drill option by sticking the control knob to the dashboard. It worked great for a month, but then the self stick knob fell off of the dashboard. My question is what can I use to reapply the control knob to the dashboard so it stays on? Any help or advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks

I recommend removing the adhesive tape sent with the Curt Spectrum # C51170. You will need to locate some 3M Exterior rated double sided adhesive from either a local hardware store or auto parts store. You will be able to cut this tape to fit the mounting base. Be sure to use some 3M cleaner/primer to prepare both surfaces for the tape to give it the best adhesion.
