Expert Reply:
The tire size you referenced, 18.5 X 8.5 - 8, has a metric equivalent which is 215/60-8, but this does not come into play when considering the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System # ASR1200S02. This Timbren system can be bolted or welded to your trailer frame.
What matters for using this system is that your existing hubs must have the same bearings, races and seals as the hubs for which this system is intended. The compatible inner and outer bearings are L44649, races are L44610 and the seal is 10-60.
As an example we offer a compatible 4-on-4-inch bolt pattern hub assembly, part # 8-91-05UC1-EZ, that will work with the Timbren system and comes complete with bearings, races, seal, grease cap, wheel bolts and lug nuts. The linked video will help illustrate. If your current wheels use a 4-on-4-inch bolt pattern they will work with this hub.
We do also offer pre-mounted wheel/tire combinations for this bolt pattern such as the Kenda # AM3H290 in white that features 940-lb maximum load capacity at 50 psi.
For reference I have included an article concerning tire sizing.
