Recommended Roof Rack and Kayak Carriers For 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500 Crew Cab

Question:

You were a great help when I had an RV, so I will give you another shot. I have a 2023 Silverado 1500 High Country crew cab, 6cyl diesel. I am looking at the Rhino-rack 2500 for carrying 2 10ft Lifetime kayaks. Are there any other roof mount options? And what recommendations would you have for holding the kayaks. Thanks for any advice that you could give me.

There are options from Yakima and Thule, but for your 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 High Country Crew Cab Diesel I'd stick with the Rhino-Rack kit you had been looking at, as Rhino rack will do everything you're wanting, but is going to be quite a bit cheaper than the other two brands without really sacrificing much quality. I have their system on my Jeep Grand Cherokee and have been really impressed with it for the money.

For your specific truck you'll need the following components:

Crossbars # RRVA150B-2 in black or # RRVA150S-2 in silver
Feet # RRRLKVA
Fit Kit # DK427

Then for securing your (2) 10' lifetime kayaks I recommend going with (2) # e98878 which include all of the tie-downs and accessories needed to secure your kayaks to your roof.
