Adapter to Mount Awning on Thule Crossbars on 2022 Subaru Outback Wilderness

Question:

Im looking for the adapters to mount either a Rhino awning or a Yakima awning on a Thule Rack on my 2022 Subaru Outback Wilderness. I couldnt find them searching your site. I appreciate the help. Thank you.

There are a few different possibilities depending on what crossbars you have and what specific awning you would like to mount. If I had to guess you probably have Thule WingBar Evo Crossbars # TH711320 on your Outback Wilderness. If you wanted to use the RhinoRack Batwing Awning # RR33100 or # RR33200 no additional parts would be necessary.

If you want a simple awning from Rhino-Rack like the Sunseeker # RR32133 then you would need mounting brackets. Both the angled up # RR32123 and angled down # RR32127 brackets would allow you to mount the awning on your Thule rack.

Like the Batwing, the Yakima SlimShady Awning # Y36VR does not require an adapter. This installs by clamping onto the crossbars and will fit WingBar Evo Crossbars. If I had to choose between this and the Sunseeker I would go with the Sunseeker. It does require the extra brackets, but those allow you to keep it out of the way for full use of your crossbars.
