Question:
I’m using the Blue Ox 6-Pole, Round Pin, Trailer Wiring Socket - Vehicle End, Item # BLU43XR with the Roadmaster Nighthawk All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar w/ LED Lights - RV Mount - 8K, Item # RM-676. The connection is extremely tight which is good for contact and weather protection BUT is very hard to disconnect for my 73 yr old strength. Is there any way to help ease the disconnection without sacrificing contact and weather protection? Would replacing the Blue Ox with the Roadmaster product? Thanks

Helpful Expert Reply:
What you're experiencing is actually pretty normal across all brands (Demco, Roadmaster, Blue OX, etc.). It tends to be easier to insert the 6-pole plug into the socket than remove it in most cases and the only real solution is going to be to lube up the plug with some dielectric grease # 11755 and make sure that you're lifting the retention cap on the Blue Ox # BLU43XR while pulling the plug.
