Is 48 Inch Width The Inside Dimension of Malone Axis Truck Bed Extender

Question:
I see where you can adjust the width of the extender MPG907 up to 48. Is that the inside dimensions, I will be using it to haul 4 wide sheets of plywood and if they adjust just to 48 it will be a tight fit.
