Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System For Off Road Trailer With 5 on 5 Inch Bolt Pattern

Updated 05/04/2023 | Published 05/03/2023

Question:

my plan is to build a custom trailer for my jeep. I would like to use the Timbren Trailer Axles - ASR5200S04 but want a 5 on 5 hub instead of a 6 on 5-1/2 hub so that i can use rims that match my jeep. Is this posssible? or do i have to use a 6 on 5-1/2 hub because its a 5200lb axle. Thanks

To use the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension # ASR5200S04 you found you will have to use either an Idler Hub # KH42655S or Hub/Drum # AKHD-655-6-EZ-K with the smallest bolt pattern being a 6 on 5-1/2". This is due to having the 5,200lb capacity and the larger #42 spindle.

We do have the lighter Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension # ASR3500S04 rated for a 3,500lb capacity which will allow you to have the 5 on 5" Idler Hub # AKIHUB-550-35-EZ-K to get the bolt pattern you are wanting. This suspension has the same 4" drop but uses the #84 spindle most common on 3,500lb axles.
