Your owners manual is the best resource to use when determining towing capacities of your vehicle, see section 4. I found a copy of the owners manual for a 2008 Chevrolet Impala and Chevy states that an Impala can tow a trailer, but the gross trailer weight must not exceed 1,000 lbs. Keep in mind, Chevy gives the Impala a maximum towing capacity of 1,000 lbs assuming the driver is the only additional weight in the vehicle. If there will be additional passengers and cargo in the vehicle, then the additional weight must be subtracted from the 1,000 lbs capacity.

I do not know of many snowmobile trailers that weigh under 1,000 lbs when loaded, but if you determine that your snowmobile and trailer fall within the towing capacity of your Impala, then we have all the components you need to complete your towing setup. First, you will want a trailer hitch, like part # 36407 that you referenced. You will need ball mount part # 36061. For a hitch ball, you can use part # 19256 for a 1-7/8 inch ball or part # 19258 for a 2 inch ball.

For a wiring harness, I recommend the Tow Ready T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness, # 118417, because it does not require any cutting or splicing into the vehicles tail light wiring.
