Question:
Hi. I have a 2023 Carry-On 170c 7x14 single axle trailer. Can you help me with the parts I would need to install electric brakes on this trailer? Would this trailer even support electric brakes?

First you will need to verify if your 3,500lb axle on your 2023 Carry-On 7x14 trailer has the Brake Mounting Flange # 4-35 behind each of your hubs. If you do not you will need to take your axle to a trailer shop to have the flanges mounted on each side. If you already have the flanges here is a list of the parts you will need to add electric trailer brakes.
Electric Trailer Brake Kit # AKEBRK-35-SA qty 1
Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly # AKHD-545-35-EZ-K qty 2
Junction Box and Installation Kit # 3430001-JBK qty 1
7-Way Cord # H20044 qty 1
Trailer Breakaway Kit # 20400 qty1
12-Gauge Brake Wire # 12-1-1 sold per foot
You will need enough of the 12 gauge wire to run from where you will mount the junction box to both of the brake assemblies. You will need to make the connection at the brakes with Butt Connectors # DW05745-5 and you will be able to attach the ground wire from the brakes to the frame using 2 Ring Terminals # DW05740-1.
