Question:

I ordered and received the wet bolt Kit # K71-359-00. I have 3500 lb tandem axles at 2 3/8inch diameter on my 2019 graand design 2250RK. When I removed the old suspension parts today, I measured the old equalizers at 7 1/2 - 7 3/4. Between the shackle holes. The equalizers in this kit measure at about 5 1/2 - 5 3/4. Will the smaller new kit equalizers fit and perform ok? Thank you

When you replace or upgrade equalizers on your 2019 Grand Design Imagine 2250RK you want to make sure they have the same or very similar measurements. Unfortunately, the equalizers that came with the # K71-359-00 are way too short and will cause problems with your suspension if you attempt to use them.

If you want to upgrade the Dexter 13-122 equalizer you have on your trailer check out the Dexter E-Z Flex Suspension Kit # K71-653-00. This comes with a cushioned equalizer to smooth out your ride and reduce road shock. The E-Z flex also has the same 7-3/4" measurement so it is a perfect fit. It has been a great addition to my Jayco Jay Feather and I highly recommend it. The kit also comes with wet bolts, bronze bushing, and heavy-duty shackles.

If you don't want to upgrade the equalizer I recommend the MORryde Suspension Upgrade Kit for Tandem Axle Trailers # MR46ZR. This kit includes wet bolts, bronze bushings, and 1/2" thick shackles. These are 2-1/4" shackles which is what you have on your Grand Design Imagine. We don't offer a separate equalizer with the grease zerks that matches your dimensions, but if you need a standard replacement you could use the # TREQE1.
