Hi, everyone, Steve here with etrailer. Let's take a look at our Lippert U-Bolt and Nut Kit for 2,200-pound trailer axles. So, folks, this again, is gonna be made for a 2,200-pound axle. The dimension is gonna be 1 3/4 inches inner diameter, so that's how thick the round tube of the axle be needs to be. No thicker, no thinner. And then the usable length, I got about 4 3/8 inches long.
And the thread size, if you're curious, is a 3/8-inch-thick thread, and it's fine-thread with the matching nut. So, the fine thread's gonna give you a superior holding strength. It's a steel construction with a zinc-plate finish, so it's gonna resist rust and corrosion. And as you know, the U-bolts are one of your main important suspension parts because they're gonna hold that axle to the trailer's suspension system, and they need to be strong and they need to be not rusty or broken.
