What Are the Dimensions of the Spring-Eye Bolt with Locknut for Slipper Springs

Updated 07/28/2025 | Published 04/18/2023

Question:

What is the length from the back of the head to the start of the threads, and the length of the threaded portion. I am looking for a solid bolt of the correct dimensions to replace a 3 3/8 Morryde wet bolt that comes in the X-Factor kits I got from you. It is being used with a Dexter EZ-Flex 13-144 center section fandom axles. This is for the top bolt that goes through the steel center bushing in the hanger. The 9/16 wet bolt provided in the kit has a slightly looser fit than the 9/16inch original bolt. I need the longer length to fit through the X-Factor backing plate like the wet bolt in the kit.

The Spring-Eye Bolt with Locknut for Slipper Springs # 166079 is a total of 3-1/2" long. The measurement from the back of the head to the start of the threads is 2-3/4" and the length of the threads are 3/4".

I just ordered and received the 6k slipper spring kit w/shocks. I also ordered the X factor crossmembers. Are you saying I definitely need to order 4 Eye Bolts # 166079 to accommodate the crossmember brackets?
