Question:
will the 362sa8hd work on a 200lb door with a 92inch opening? if not, what spring willl work? I currently bought the 250 duel spring and when the tension is set for the door to stay down, it will not wind all the way up.

Your door is a little too narrow for the spring you mentioned but we do have a solution that is the correct size with the part # CB250D96SHD which has a 250 lb weight capacity and is for ramp doors that are between 80 and 96 inches in width.

Jameson, The door opening of 92" should not be a problem for the spring system. When the door will not stay down after the spring system is wound to the correct number of turns, it means the torque of the spring is too high. The customer needs to go down from the 230# system to something less. If the hinged weight of the door is actually 200#, then go to a 185#. It is far worse to have too much spring torque instead of too little. If you have any questions about this contact me anytime. We manufacture the spring systems.
