Question:

Hi, I have a 2023 Highlander Hybrid XLE. Which wiring harness do you recommend? Do I use the one with or without factory tow package? Also does the etrailer hitch affect access to the spare tire? Thanks!

I recommend going with a T-Connector wiring harness for your 2023 Toyota Highlander XLE:

- With Factory Tow Package # C79VV
- Without Factory Tow Package # C59496

The easiest way to determine if you have the factory tow package or not is to look at your paperwork for the vehicle and/or call in to your local Toyota dealer with your VIN and they can look it up and let you know. Aside from that the only other way I know how to determine this is to check your vehicle and see if it already has the relays in place that come with the "non-factory tow package" wiring kit.

When it comes to fitment of the etrailer Trailer Hitch # e75ZR, the hitch is compatible with 18" or smaller spare tires. If you have anything larger than that then you'll need to find a different place to store the tire.
