Yes, when using theFlint Hill Goods 22" x 49" Cargo Carrier - 2" Hitch # FHG27ZR your license plate could be obstructed by the cargo that you are carrying. But never fear, a solution is near.

You can use the Thule License Plate Holder # TH35JV to relocate your license plate to the outside of the cargo carrier, allowing it to be visible. And the Thule License Plate Holder # TH35JV features a light to provide visibility at night.

If you are interested in adding lights to the Cargo Carrier # FHG27ZR to upgrade from the reflectors, you can use the Curt Auxiliary LED Indicator Lights # C53201.

Both the Thule License Plate Holder # TH35JV and the Curt Auxiliary LED Indicator Lights # C53201 will use a 4-way connector to power the lights. If you only get the License plate holder then you can just plug it into the 4-way. If you get both the License plate holder and the Curt lights, then you will need to cut one end off of the License plate plug and splice it into the Curt lights wiring.
