Do Pivot Pin Need to Be Removed for Greasing on a Reese Goose Box 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapter

Question:
Do you remove the Reese 20K Goosebox pivot pin for greasing by removing the hex head fasteners with the large washer on them. Does the pin come out either direction? What is the torque on the hex head fasteners? Thank you!

The pivot pin should not be removed on the Reese Goose Box 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Air Ride Coupler Adapters like part # RP85FR. Instead, you would just simply access the grease fitting to lubricate this. I have attached for you below the instructions for this along with the rest of the recommended maintenance.

I have a gen2 goose box which does not have the zerk fitting show in your diagram. How can I grease the pivot tube?
