i have a maxxair 4951ksc. will a maxxair 4500k replace my old unit? will the wall mounted switch still operate the fan along with the new remote control.???

The MaxxFan Plus Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan # MA00-04500K can replace your 4951 KSC, but it will not have the option to use your wall mounted thermostat. Personally, I would just remove the wall thermostat and and place the thermostat remote holder in the same spot and treat the remote as a wall thermostat.
