Comparing Yakima LockNLoad and Rhino-Rack Pioneer for 2016 Honda Pilot

Question:

HI Etrailer! I have a 2016 Honda Pilot with Thule Fit Kit. I currently have 54inch tracks and Wingbar EVO 53 crossbar. Will the Yakima Lock N Load #Y05044-39 fit? Will Rhino Rack Universal Pioneer #RR4211BF fit? Are crossbar clamps included and if not, which ones do I need? Thank you for your time and advice.

The Yakima LockNLoad Platform Rack for Crossbars part # Y05044-39 and Rhino-Rack Universal Pioneer Platform Rack for Crossbars part # RR42115BF are both great options for a 2016 Honda Pilot. They each come with crossbar clamps and will work great with a set of Thule crossbars. The main difference between the two is that the Rhino-Rack uses vertical crossbars and the Yakima uses horizontal crossbars. The horizontal crossbars are a bit more widely compatible but there are also a lot of specific accessories for the vertical crossbars on the Rhino-Rack.

I recommend the Yakima LockNLoad due to the greater compatibility with accessories.
