What are the measurements of the mounting brackets?

The mounting brackets that come with the Stromberg Carlson Adjustable Accessory Hitch Receiver # SC45MR measure 7-1/4" x 3" for the flat brackets connected to the crosstube, while the angled brackets measure 7-1/4" x 2" according to my contact at Stromberg Carlson.
