Question:

If mounted on a 2010 Honda Element can you still open the rear top hatch without adjusting the tire to the side? t looks like it can rotate down also. I have ad lift kit on mine and off road tires. This is for the Roadmaster Hitch Mounted Spare Tire Carrier.

To determine if your rear hatch will still open on your 2010 Honda Element with the Roadmaster Hitch Mounted Spare Tire Carrier # RM-195225 installed you will need to take some measurements. The carrier offers either 5-1/4" or 8-3/4" of clearance from the hitch pin hole center. The carrier is also 35-3/8" from the top of the receiver tube to the top of the carrier. Depending on the size and offset of your spare tire it will also need to be considered.

You will most likely need the Roadmaster Passenger Tire Adapter # RM-195225-95 to mount your spare tire since the plate on the Carrier is designed for carrying an offset dually wheel and tire.
