Replacement Lower Unit for Magnetek 6332 Series 6300

Question:

The Power Converter I have that I want to replace is the exact same model # Series 6300 A model 6332. However, the old one I want to replace is a 32 amp one. Will this new 35 amp one be OK to replace it with?

Hey Ron, the Replacement Converter for your Magnetek Converter Series 6300 Model 6332 is going to be the Replacement Converter for Parallax/Magnetek or WFCO RV Power Centers - 35 Amp item # PD4635V. It being rated a couple amps higher will not be an issue at all.

Hello Jameson............. I just wanted to comment here about the great success I had with installing this power converter into my wife's motorhome. The instructions with the device were very good and I had no problem figuring out how everything went together. I am an old guy (84) and struggled with getting up and down from the floor of the motorhome but managed to get through it OK. I also had to disconnect all of the AC Romex inputs (five), clean the wires, and reconnect them all again. That was a major struggle for me. However, the actual Magnetek 6332 Series 6300 replacement went very smoothly and everything is now back to normal. Thanks for a great product.

@RonaldL That's awesome! I am glad it went smoothly and I hope your wife appreciates what you did for "her" motorhome :)

I'm in process of this same change out. I noted that there is an additional Red wire on the 63322 that is not mentioned in the removal instructions. It runs from the converter to the rear red positive lug on the rear of the distribution panel. What do I do with this wire? Is it just eliminated in the new converter?
