Which Wire is Power and Which Wire is Ground on the Electric Trailer Brake Kit AKEBRK-35-SA?
Published 12/13/2022 >
Question:
I am getting ready to install this product Item #AKEBRK-35-SA, they are electric trailer brakes. They look great! I am an experienced mechanic and have replaced, worked on electric brakes before however never magnets. The magnet wires have no indication of positive, negative. I Have looked at schematics and they show positive and negative from the trailer wiring. But the magnets give me no indication of which wire is positive or negative. Do the magnets not care, are all they are looking for is that they are energized. That is my thought however your input on this issue is greatly appreciated and will give me the confidence that the job is correct the first time. Thanks

For the Electric Trailer Brake Kit - Self-Adjusting - 10" item # AKEBRK-35-SA, the brake magnet wires are interchangeable. As long as one goes to power and one goes to ground they will work.
