What is The Tongue Weight Rating For the 2020 Winnebago Solis Class B RV Motorhome?

Question:

Gentlemen, Can the Winnebago Solis hold a 400 pound motorcycle on a rack that mounts in the trailer hitch? The rack itself has about a 2 foot extension, so the weight will be increased by the arm of the rack. Can the Solis hold this? If not, can the Solis trailer hitch be reinforced to hold up to 600 lbs?

According to the manual I found on your 2020 Winnebago Solis it says the maximum tongue weight should be 350lbs. There is a note to check the tag on the receiver as the tongue weight may be less depending on the exact model. As the Solis is on a Ram ProMaster 2500 chassis you do have the possibility of changing out the receiver depending on any modifications made to the chassis by Winnebago. We do have the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13207 which is capable of supporting up to 750lbs of tongue weight. You will want to verify the receiver you have is not welded on by the manufacturer so you will be able to replace it with this receiver.
