We bought an Electra Townie 8D EQ which has fenders. Will the Kuat Transfer V 2 rack work with the finders on our bike?

I have a great bike rack for your Electra Townie 8D EQ but the Kuat Transfer V2 is not something you will want to use for a bike with fenders.

Instead you will want to use the Saris Freedom 2 Bike Platform Rack item # SA4412B. This bike rack has a frame clamp design which allows it to attach to alternative shaped frames like yourTownie. The wheel cradles will secure your bike and completely avoid your fenders. This is by far the best option we have the Electra Townie E-Bikes.

The Saris Freedom 2 Bike Platform Rack item # SA4412B has a 60 lbs capacity per bike and weighs 29 lbs. It is made in the USA and it will save you some money compared to the Kuat.

To secure your E-Bike and Freedom Bike Rack from theft, I recommend using item # SA3022 and or item # SA981.
