Video Transcript for Installing the WeatherTech Mud Flaps on your 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 2500

Hey, it's Ethan here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the WeatherTech No-Drill Mud Flaps on front of the 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. We're just gonna be doin' the front ones in our case, but they do come in sets at the front, or if you want the front and back you can get those as well. Just gonna be a good way to protect truck from gravel, debris, dirt, anything like that that you're gonna be driving, kicking up from your tires, eventually scratching the paint of your car. These will keep it nice and safe. The flaps themselves are made of a durable thermal plastic material, so they'll hold up well over time, and whatever you throw at it.

Also, they are custom fit to this car, so you can see it contours around the edge here. The only thing you need for the installation is a bit to fit into here, and you might want to grab a flathead screwdriver if you want. The bit is included, and the installation is pretty straightforward, so you can check out how we did that now. First thing we need to do is use the included Torx bit, to get this off the three Torx fasteners that are here. To make it a little bit easier, you can turn your tires to the left if clearing becomes an issue for you.

In our case, we have plenty, so I'll just start the process by removing this one here, (ratchet grinds) using a ratchet and the Torx head, and then repeating this process for the other two. (ratchet grinds) (ratchet grinds again) And once we get all three out, can move on to the next step. And we want to make sure that we're using the correct side, so you'll see this on here, it says L H for the left hand side. So we have the right one in our case. And we'll begin by putting this in place, and reinserting those Torx screws.

(plastic flap brushes against vehicle) (door creaks in the distance) (ratchet grinding continues) And using the same Torx bit as we used to remove the fasteners, we'll get them in place just enough to where they're snug fit. We don't want to tighten them fully down just yet. (ratchet grinds) Now, we have the Torx fasteners in snugly, but not all the way. We'll take one of these provided U clips and we'll fit it into this opening here, so that it gets around the flap and the fender. Typically we'll probably actually wash the car as the first step, but because this is for demonstration, we haven't done that, but it's a good idea for you, in your case.

And then we use a flathead screw driver to push it all the way in. After we get the U clip in place, we come back to our fasteners here, and we'll tighten them fully down. (ratchet grinds) (ratchet grinds) (ratchet grinds) Once you have all those fasteners tightened down, that's it for the installation. Make sure you get the passenger side flap on as well, then you're ready to go. So if you're looking for some flaps that'll hold up pretty well over time, and they're really easy to install, you really can't go wrong. These are gonna be a great product for you. This was just a look at the WeatherTech No-Drill Mud Flaps, and how they fit on a 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 2500.
