Replacement for Dometic RV Air Conditioner Single Zone Thermostat

Question:
I would like to address this to Scott S. My 2018 Keystone Montana High Country came with this thermostat and been an issue since new. A camping trip last week in Colorado really brought this to light. Keystone has not helped in this issue nor did the dealer I bought it from. Does E Trailer have a Thermostat that I could replace this Thermostat with. Looking at the control module wiring a new thermostat might be tough. Any thoughts? Thanks

The only digital thermostat we offer for Dometic RV Air Conditioners is the Replacement Single Zone Thermostat for Dometic RV Air Conditioners part # DMC79FR. If you feel yours is defective or not working properly then you can replace this using the item above. It's a pretty simply swap with only three wire connections at the back which you can see in the attached photo.
If you are looking for an alternative to the Dometic RV Air Conditioner Replacement Single Zone Thermostat, we unfortunately don't have any options for this but perhaps you can find a universal one online though I'm not sure it would work.

I replaced my single zone RV domestic thermostat with this one and all it did was light up blue and try to turn on ac for about thirty seconds and then quit working. Checked fuses for 12vdc. Power was good at power in and middle terminal and battery is brand new. Old thermostat quit working and I tried to replace it with this one. Wired it correctly.
