Solution for Carrying Electric Bikes on 2022 Keystone Passport 189RB

Question:

My wife and I have a 2022 Keystone Passport 189RB. We have two very heavy electric bicycles we would like to take with us when we travel. They are heavy. Ideally, I would like to carry them on the back of the trailer, but there is no bumper. Is there an option you recommend?

In order to carry your electric bikes, the first thing you will need to do is add a hitch to your 2022 Keystone Passport 189RB. You can use the Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver for RVs # 13703. This fits box, C-channel, or I-beam frames 22" - 72" wide.

With the hitch installed you will be able to use a bike rack rated for your trailer like the Yakima OnRamp Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes # Y36FR. This rack has a weight capacity of 66 lbs per bike, 40 lbs per bike for off-road and RV use. I'm not sure how heavy your bikes are, but it is likely you will need to remove the batteries while transporting them.
