Can Side Door Bar Lock Assembly Fit 2016 Haulmark that Has Latch Lock

Question:
can i just use this for my man door on the side? any way to disable the standard/slam latch door lock it has now? Or do i just use the bar for security and still use the old door lock?

You can use the Side Door Bar Lock Assembly part # 3057-55 in conjunction with the latch door lock you have now with not problem. My dad has a trailer that has both and it works well together and can add a second layer of theft deterrence.
