By using the Malone 2" Dual Purpose Hitch Receiver # MPG544 this will reduce your receiver capacity by 50%. To determine your exact capacity you will need to find the capacity rating on your receiver. Honda may be giving you the maximum capacity your 2014 Odyssey is capable of supporting on a receiver. We have the etrailer Receiver # e98862 with a tongue weight rating of 350lbs. As the Dual Hitch # MPG544 will reduce either 50% that will leave you 175lbs total tongue weight. The only way you will be able to carry the chair with a trailer is by putting the chair on the trailer. Then you will not need the adapter and not lose 50% of your hitch capacity.
