Question:
I have a 2018 Ram tradesman Ecodiesel and mine did not come with a trailer brake controller. I want to get a travel trailer and just asking you if there is any benefit going OEM or just install a aftermarket under the steering wheel. Will it make my truck worth more when I sell it if i go OEM? Thank you for the help.

I doubt you'd be able to increase the asking price of your 2018 Ram Tradesman if you installed the OEM brake controller but I would think that it could only help in selling process to be able to say that option is on the truck. The truck market is pretty crazy though so I doubt you'd have any trouble selling the truck either way and will probably be able to ask a premium price. If you wanted the best function and safety though you really can't beat aftermarket brake controllers like the Redarc Tow Pro Liberty part # RED52VR. This also has advantage of only installing a small knob on your dash instead of the larger boxes. This uses an inertia sensor to detect how hard you are applying the brakes and apply a similar amount of braking pressure to the trailer brakes.
To install this in your truck you would just need the part # 331-TPH-020 which plugs in under your truck's dash.
