Adding Safety Chain Mounts To Pole Tongue Trailer After Installing Swing Away Hinge

Can this be bolted to the frame to hook safety chains to the hitch? If not, is there such a bracket? Im installing a swing away hinge and I have to relocate the safety chains. Thanks.

I have some options for you as the CE Smith Tie-Down Bracket # CE26214G is not rated for attaching Safety Chain # 337BSC3842. Typically safety chains are attached through a Clip # 337SC58B as they should not be easily removable from a trailer. We do also have the Buyers Products Weld-On Safety Chain Retainer # 3375471001 which can allow you to add chains. If you prefer to have a bolt on chain like the Safety Chain # 8880262 you will need to ensure where you are drilling is strong enough to not risk damage to the trailer structure and that it is capable of being strong enough for the trailer weight if it became disconnected.
