i have a 2016 gmc sierra that I want to plug a cooler into the trailer light plug. Which unit should I buy. thank you

To turn the 7-way on your truck into a 12v power source you will want to use the Pollak 7-Way to 12 Volt Power Outlet Adapter item # PK11896. This will plug into a 7-Way on your vehicle and provide a 12V plug on the other end that can be used with 12V accessories. This adapter can handle a 20 to 30 amp power draw but the limiting factor will be if the 7-Way on your truck is rated high enough as well. You will want to check the fuse for the 12 volt circuit for the tow package trailer connector to make sure it is rated high enough to power your cooler.

If your cooler requires a standard 110V AC plug you will need to install the Power Inverter 1000 Watts with Three AC Receptacles item # WC3720.

There is not a 110V AC power outlet available that is able to plug directly into a 7-Way.
