Can the B&W Defender Locking Gooseneck Coupler Be locked in the Open Position?

Question:
Can a person lock the coupler open with the key? I move my gooseneck trailer around the farm yard using a adapter plate for a skid steer with a ball, I do not want the auto lock to lock, allowing me to just lower the boom arms on the skid steer to lower the trailer and unhook ball, allowing me to not get out of the skid steer cab.

To leave your coupler unlatched you will need a manual locking coupler like the Bulldog Gooseneck Coupler # BD0287690300. The B&W Defender Locking Gooseneck Coupler # BWGNC4250 will only lock in the closed position. Using the manual locking coupler will make it easier for you to use with your skid steer to move around your farm.
