Recommended 5th Wheel Trailer Suspension Upgrade for a 2022 Jayco Northpoint 310RLTS

Updated 08/30/2022 | Published 08/29/2022

Question:

So, after researching my options, it looks as if there are 3 solid choices: 1. Lippert Center Point 2. Timbren Silent Ride 3. Roadmaster Comfort Ride Not being a suspension expert, all 3 appear to have pros/cons to enhancing the traditional leaf spring/equalizer setup. I currently have a 2022 Jayco Northpoint 310RLTS being pulled by a 2022 Chevy Silverado 3500 Dually High Country. Have experience significant bounceinch and have come to the realization its due to the poor road conditions throughout the nation, and leaf spring rebound. Would like your experts take on why one would be better than another and in which situation which one is best bang for buck which one is overall most reliable and least maintenance. Thank you

I would be happy to help you with a new suspension system for your 2022 Jayco Northpoint 310RLTS. It looks like your 5th wheel has a 15,000 lbs maximum capacity so that eliminates the Timbren Silent Ride because those systems top out at 14,000 lbs.

I recommend going with the Roadmaster Comfort Ride Leaf Spring Suspension Kit w/ Shocks item # RM-2460-2580 over the Lippert Center Point item # LC1565391. The Roadmaster system completely replaces your existing suspension so there is no need to worry about measuring for fitment. This system is for 3" diameter 8,000 lbs axles. Each spring in this system has a 4,000 lbs capacity. These nitrogen-charged shocks will get rid of that bouncing and rebound issue you are experiencing. This system sets the axles up to operate independently which not only helps with smoothing out your ride, it gives you extra traction.

The Lippert Center Point item # LC1565391 will require constant maintenance and upkeep and you will have to replace the airbags.
