Question:

How much do the replacement friction pads cost and what is the original pads expected lifespan? Really interested in this hitch but worry pads could be hard to find and or cost prohibitive. Thank you in advance for any knowledge or estimates you may be able to provide.

We do carry the Replacement Wear Plates # C52WR for the Curt PowerRide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # C48BR that fits your 2022 Ford F-350 long bed with the factory prep/puck system. Unfortunately, there is no estimated life span for these as there are to many factors such as trailer weight, pin box surface size, and any other dirt that can affect the life of the plates.

Having the wear plates installed on the receiver does have its benefits over a traditional Lube Plate # RP83002. First you do not have to worry about the plates falling off like a lube plate that is pressed ono the king pin. And if you take your trailer in for service they will usually destroy your lube plate since they pick up the 5th wheel often with fork lifts to move around their facility.
