Can Old Yakima HoldUp for 2 Bikes Be Upgraded to 4 Bikes
Updated 08/23/2022 | Published 08/21/2022 >
Question:
Hi there I have original Yakima Holdup 2 bike rack, which appears is not compatible with the +2 extension module. Is there a way I can adapt my rack to fit the +2 extension with a new bar, instead of having to buy an entirely new rack from scratch? Thanks

I do have an option for you but only the 2" Yakima HoldUp Bike Racks were compatible with the Yakima HoldUp +2 Bike Add-On, not the 1-1/4". Furthermore, the Yakima HoldUp +2 Bike Add-On is not available anymore for the 2008-2009 and 2009-2012 models, only the 2012-Current models. Therefore, if you wish to carry more bikes you will be forced to upgrade to the Yakima HoldUp Bike Rack for 4 Bikes part # Y02443-2. If you don't already have a 2" hitch please let me know what vehicle you have so I can see if one if available.
