Recommended Lithium Compatible Converter Replacement For A WFCO WF-8955PEC

Question:

I currently have WFCO WF-8955PEC on my RV. I would like to upgrade to Lithium battery. I would like to change the converter-charger unit only. Is there a direct -in replacement converter-charger available from Progressive Dynamics?

There is a replacement converter section for your WFCO 8955 with part # PD4655V, but it is not compatible with lithium batteries. If you wanted to only replace the converter section then you could install the Progressive Dynamics Inteli-Power RV Converter and Battery Charger - Lithium # PD9160ALV in the space your current converter sits in.

It wasn't designed to be mounted into your power center but I've seen it done on a few of the trailers I've worked on so I know it's a possibility. This unit is 9-3/16" long x 7-3/8" wide x 3-5/8" tall, so I recommend double checking the space you have in your power center to confirm if it will fit.

If not you could also just place it behind the power center and run the wires in through the back of it as there typically is extra space in the cabinet these are installed in.
