We have a couple of aluminum trailer hitch mount cargo carriers that will both fit your 2002 Toyota Sequoia with the 2 inch trailer hitch. First, the Curt carrier you have referenced # C18100 is a fit. This carrier can fold up and when in the folded up position it will be 5 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the nearest edge of the carrier.

To make sure it will fit when folded just measure from the center of your hitch pin hole straight back to the distance required to clear the rear bumper. I have included a link to an FAQ article that will help you to take this measurement. I have also linked a video review of the carrier for you.

The other option is the # C18113. This carrier does not fold so when installed it is 6 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the nearest edge of the platform. I have linked a video review of this carrier as well.

For me, I like the folding carrier partly because it can fold but also because I like the mesh floor better than the railed floor of the fixed carrier.
