I park close to a fence how much room do I need to lower the steps? 24in door 2 step

I checked with Lippert, and they informed me that the:
-SolidStep Manual Fold-Down Steps for 24" Wide RV Door Frames LC713662, when folded down, requires 22" of clearance.
I have included a diagram showing this distance for you to check out as well.
