Replacement Slide Out Motor for a Power Gear 1010000683

Updated 04/07/2026 | Published 04/05/2026

Question:

I have a 2000 Mallard 26E with a slide out room that has a motor below the floor and not in a wall. My slide doesn't retract, so I therefore believe I need a new motor and, perhaps new rollers, if I can find out where they are to see if they are worn out, too. Can you help identify the motor, rollers, and anything else that might help solve my problem? Thank you!

I sure can Keith! To replace your Power Gear 1010000683 motor, you'll need the Replacement MT Gear Motor Assembly with Pin and Connector B for PowerGear Slide-Outs item # LC67JJ.

Just a heads up, there's no database that shows me what parts are on your 2000 Mallard 26E or what kind of slide out system is on it. Without part numbers and model information off of the system, I don't have anyway of identifying it.

You can add the part numbers, along with any other questions you have, where it says Add Comment. If you would like to email me pictures directly, you can do that as well by sending them to the address you receive this response from.

The slide goes out but hangs up when starting back in. I know the slide motor has a brake on it but the only numbers I have are the US patent number - 5,833,296 - and some other numbers hand-engraved and very difficult to read on the aluminum housing: SE6489, 5-98 (which I assume is the manufacture date of the motor), and what looks like 78-10. I'll send some pictures to you via email shortly. Again, your assistance will be appreciated if it is possible to help me locate and identify rollers that may need replacing and to identify the model number of the slide motor. Thank you so much for your time. All the best, Keith Hughes

@KeithH Hey Keith, I did indeed receive your email. Thanks for sending those pictures! You have a Power Gear 1010000683 motor. The correct replacement for it is Item # LC67JJ. This motor was installed on many slide out systems so my information on where to find the rollers is not going to be specific to your trailer. The rollers in a Power Gear slide-out system are typically located at the bottom edge of the slide-out opening, hidden behind the inner rubber seals or attached to the frame to support the floor as it moves.
